Stocks marched higher on Wednesday.   The S&P 500 rose 0.8%, finishing at 4995—its eighth record close of the year—as it climbed closer toward the milestone level of 5000. Nine of the S&P 500’s 11 sectors finished the day in the green. The Dow Industrials added 0.4%, or 156 points, also reaching a record high.
