Executive Summary: Yesterday was the first loss of more than -1% since April 30th. We are now a little more than half way through the month and either yesterday’s loss is a one off event or it morphs into more losses greater than -1%. We call this clustering. Last year the S&P 500 and other indexes began to correct in July and then bottomed in October. We note however that the Russell 2000 which for some of the day was in the green finished in the red as well losing -1.06%. Be watchful here.
